Blazer Jobs is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a highly collaborative and student-focused school district in Frederick, Maryland, for the 20252026 school year. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for professionals passionate about improving communication skills and fostering growth in children of all ages.
About the Role
As a vital part of the special education team, the SLPA will provide direct therapy and classroom support under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech and language activities with students as directed by the SLP.

Support the delivery of IEP goals and communication interventions.

Document session data and track student progress consistently.

Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to promote success.

Participate in meetings, training sessions, and district-led professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications

Active or pending Maryland SLPA license (or equivalent).

Associate or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences or Speech-Language Pathology.

Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required.

Strong organization and communication skills.
